Tips to restore Windows 7
Windows Restore is a tool that enables you to undo undesirable changes to your PC and restores its previous settings and performance. It reverts your computer to a last known safe operating date without causing you to lose personal files saved in the hard disk. To initiate Windows restore process, the following steps can be followed. Click start from the taskbar and in the search box type restore. In the new window that appears, double click on rstrui icon to open the system restore window. The process provides you with two options i.e. restore my computer to an earlier time and create a restore point. The former option provides you with a list of possible dates when changes were detected in the system. Select a last known date before the PC begins to display undesirable actions and click Next to begin the restore procedure. The latter allows you to describe a restore point to revert back to. Nonetheless, it is recommended that you use the former to carry out the process.
Things to keep in mind while doing so
It is worth to note that deleted, corrupted and work lost due to disk formatting cannot be recovered using the restore. Furthermore, the status of your Windows is not interfered at all. The only changes undone by the method are system changes that result from a recent software install or uninstall.
To avoid instances where unnecessary program installation and uninstall takes place, activate administrator password authentication for program install and removal. This will limit chances where unknown installation by other users and viruses takes place in your system without knowing.
