Reasons for Overheating in Sony VAIO W Series Laptops
Sony VAIO W Series is the new laptop from Sony. This laptop uses Intel Atom processor N470 with 1.83 GHz speed to work with and is highly compatible with Windows 7. This laptop has a 10.1 inch high resolution display with LED backlit to provide high resolution ultra bright pictures. It has a springy and responsive keyboard and a large easy-to-use touchpad which allow comfortable web browsing. This laptop provides 250 GB Hard Disk Drive and a 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM and provides long battery life. As you work with your laptop for a long time, the laptop might get overheated. The laptop is has a fan inside it. The fan rotates to push the hot air outside. But, if the fan does not work, then the hot air will not flow outside the laptop. Another reason for overheating might be the battery. Users often buy cheap battery for laptops and the battery gets discharged quickly and starts melting. As the battery gets heated, it will affect the internal parts of the laptop. If the inside portion of your laptop is full of dirt then the hot air might not flow outside.
Some tips to avoid overheating of Sony VAIO W Series are:
- Check the fan
- Use high-quality batteries
- Choose a cool atmosphere to work
- Do not place the laptop on a soft surface
Check the fan
If the fan inside the Sony VAIO W Series laptop does not work, then air will not flow outside the laptop. So before you start working with your laptop, do check if the fan works promptly and if the fan does not work, replace it with a new one. If there is some dirt inside the laptop, the fan might stop rotating. So do clean the inside portion of the laptop.
Use high-quality batteries
Low-quality batteries have a tendency to lose their charge quickly. Once the battery starts discharging and if you continue working on the laptop, the battery starts melting. This might affect other internal parts of the laptop. So always use high-quality batteries and look at the battery charge before you start working on the laptop.
Choose a cool atmosphere to work
If you are sitting in a room with no windows or doors full of warm air or if you are sitting under direct sunlight, the laptop might get heated quickly. When you feel that your laptop is overheated, try to sit in a cool place like an air-conditioned room or in an open place with a lot of shadow.
Do not place the laptop on a soft surface
The Sony VAIO W Series laptop has a fan on the bottom side. If you place the laptop on a soft surface, then the fan might not find a way to push the air outside. So avoid placing the laptop over a bed, a steam pipe, or on your lap. It is better to place the laptop on a table.
