Safe Mode in Sony® VAIO
Sony VAIO is a stylish laptop computer from Sony. It is a powerful laptop that comes with plenty of advanced features. They introduced munber of models in the VAIO series. Sony VAIO laptop is powered with various Intel processors including Intel Centrino Duo Processor, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor etc. Safe Mode is an option in which the Windows operating System loads with few Sony drivers and registry settings. This mode provides administrator to perform maintenance and recovery. To enable the Safe Mode in your Sony VAIO laptop, you need to restart the system and press the F8 key. It will open window which contains the options to choose the safe mode. All the startup programs will be disabled in the Safe Mode. So, when you start the system in the Safe Mode, it would not initialize any programs.

Need of Safe Mode
Using Safe Mode, you could uninstall previous version of software with which the computer hangs, shows error and so on. Sometimes, after a certain program is installed, you may experience problem with your system and you may fail to uninstall it from your system. Then, you can use the Safe Mode option in the Windows Operating System to uninstall the applications.
Options to Safe Mode
In the Advanced Boot Options, there are different options like Safe Mode in which the windows would run only with minimum files and drivers including the software. Safe Mode with Networking is an option in the advanced boot options. It includes network drivers so that it could utilize the network. Safe Mode with Command Prompt is same as MS-DOS Prompt.
In Safe Mode, display will not be efficient as in the normal mode. You will be able to get only minimal features in the Safe Mode. You would experience a bad resolution in the Safe Mode and you will not able to make any display setting changes in this mode. All the startup programs would be disabled in the Safe Mode.
