Capacity of the hard disk
The Operating System in each of the system is stored in to the hard disk by default. So the available space in the hard disk should be able to contain Windows XP. Otherwise the installation will be failed. So check the hard disk space.
The presence of security software also would affect the installation of Windows XP. So disable all such software after updating it. Also check any of the properties such as auto updates are turned off in any of the software programs. If yes, then turn off all such properties.
