Sony VAIO F Series laptop is a 16.4” inch big-screen PC with full HD display, Blu-ray™ player and discrete graphics. The laptop is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium. It uses Intel Core i7-720QM with 1.60 GHZ speed as its processor. The laptop uses a 500 GB hard drive and an 8 GB memory. The laptop uses an Integrated Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n to connect to the Internet without cables. The Wireless connection has a data rate of 11 Mbps for 802.11b, 54 Mbps for 802.11a/g and 300 Mbps for 802.11n. It provides a frequency of 5 GHZ or 2.4 GHZ. The Wireless connection is intended to give maximum browsing performance to the user. But, as you are working with the Wireless connection, you might get some issues with the connection. You might see the speed of connection gets decreased. If wireless modem or router is not installed correctly, then the connection might get some problems. Malware might come through Internet and can affect the wireless connection.

You have to determine the speed of the wireless connection. Different connections might have different speed. The 802.11 a and n has only 5 GHz speed. The 802.11 b, g and n have speed of 2.4 GHz. You have to use third-party software to monitor the speed. If this speed is not enough, then you might need to change the wireless connection.
Remove incompatible wireless network
When you see that wireless connection does not work properly, you have check the network. The other networks might have been using a different channel. If wireless channel of your system and other networks is not compatible with each other , it could result in slow speed or disconnection of the network. So, you have to change wireless channel on your network.
Upgrade the system
The slowness or poor performance of the wireless connection might be sometimes because of system performance. Older laptop cannot access data in high speed. You might be transferring a number of files daily. Your laptop might get trouble due to large amount files. Upgrading your system or system components might resolve the problem.
