Japanese electronics giant Sony is now trying its luck in the earphone market. The company's latest offering is balanced armature in-ear headphone, a piece of technology that enhances sound quality.
The new series is termed as XBA balanced armature intra-aurals. Sony is launching a total of 11 models whose price range varies from $79.99 to $499.99. There is a lot of variety from standard buds to noise cancelling and Bluetooth devices. The various categories of the headphone models include XBA4, XBA3, XBA2, and XBA1. XBA1 is the entry-level model. The special and the most attractive feature of these headphones is that some of the models are especially designed for iPhone and iPod Touch. The model numbers have "iP" at the end of their names.

XBA-1 comprises a single mid-focused driver that contributes to the ultimate performance and the decent clarity. It’s priced at $79.99.
XBA-2 comes with a single woofer that offers an amazing bass quality giving the music a punchy, low-end kick. It costs $200.
