Sony® takes you from Fancy to Fantasy with Harry Potter
If you are a Harry Potter fan, you must have felt like flying on a broom and wished you were a part of the magic world of Hogwarts. Such is the influence of J.K. Rowling on her readers that her books make you forget reality and you unconsciously reach the land of fantasy. Harry Potter is the brainchild of J.K. Rowling and her book series on the wizardry character is widely acclaimed worldwide. And now, to add another accolade to the already acclaimed book series, Sony has agreed to pay millions to Rowling in order to get the right of releasing the seven Harry Potter novels on the Sony e-reader and its tablet devices.
Rowling has collaborated with Sony to create a new online shopping zone to provide gaming devices, new content loaded with Harry Potter stuff, and heaps of e-books on sale. This exclusive outlet is named as Pottermore to closely resemble the terms used in the Harry Potter book series. However as per updates, the Pottermore site would commence to operate and trade its merchandise only from January 2012.
Sony is already reigning the market with the redesigned trio e-Ink readers, which include a 5-inch Pocket Edition that costs $179.6 6-inch Touch Edition priced $229 and the 7-inch Daily Edition with Wi-Fi at $299. Plans, as revealed by Sony, comprise the release of two new tablet devices that are equipped with Android 3.0 Honeycomb to best suit the tablet.
If reports are to be believed, Harry Potter is soon to steal your reality through the e-reader business of Sony and let you explore the land of wizards. So get set and go to the world of fantasy which you might have often fancied.
