The consumer electronics giant Sony Corporation has announced a technology evolution for its tablet devices through a free Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update to offer a more sophisticated multimedia experience to its consumers.
Android 4.0.3, which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich is one of the biggest updates to Android yet, and includes features such as scanning your face to unlock the phone, a much more advanced speech-to-text software program, and an entire platform of data sharing that is based on Near Field Communication (NFC). The Android 4.0 update also brings a feature that allows you to access the files on the external SD card directly and the possibility to take screenshots without installing any third-party applications.
The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Sony Tablet S will not hit all the devices at once, as it is rolled out globally and certain markets will receive it later than others. Thus, if you own a Sony Tablet S and have not received the update notification yet, all you have to do is wait a little bit more.
