Android™ joins hands with Sony®
Operating System: Android Honeycomb 3.1
Recently, Sony made a grand entry into the Android market with the launch of Sony Tablet S, the wedge-shaped tablet. Since its launch, Sony Tablet S has drawn much attention and grabbed the headlines from other competitive brands. The tablet promises to be a big hit in the consumer technology world.
Sony Tablet S comes with the latest Android operating system, Android Honeycomb 3.1. With the Sony Tablet S, you can select from two models, one with the 32GB capacity and the other with the 16GB capacity. The prices are $599 and $499, respectively. Both the tablets have a 9.4-inch screen and powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile processor.
The manufacturers have launched the Sony Tablet S targeting largely the home users so that they can use it in alignment with their Sony television. Home users can also use it as a universal remote control by employing the infrared emitter of the tablet. With the Sony Remote app, the tablet can also be used as a Wi-Fi remote, which is compatible with your Sony Bravia devices installed at home.
The Sony Tablet S is compatible with Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology and with the company’s HomeShare network speakers as well.
If you have enjoyed playing games in your Sony Xperia Play, you are going to love this, because you can play original PlayStation games on your Tablet S and that too with a bigger display. It also has two preloaded games.
With all these features bundled in the tablet S, it is destined to be a huge hit in the Android market.
