The business deal between the two companies will allow Sony Computer Entertainment to roll out all future products under the PlayStation monicker.
A question which is hot in the market is that why Sony chose to acquire Sucker Punch. According to a source, the acquisition will help Sony to drive into the gaming industry with a style, piggy riding the excellent track record which has already been created by Sucker Punch.
Another reason why Sony got interested in acquiring Sucker Punch is that the latter has proven its credibility not only with inFamous, but also with the Sly Cooper, a video game series for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Sony PlayStation 3 video gaming consoles. The series was a big hit among its targeted gaming customers. The ability of Sucker Punch to develop new IP is another reason why Sony chose to acquire Sucker Punch.
