While PlayStation Vita is slated to be released on the coming February 22, Sony has already posted a user guide for the portable gaming device on one of its website. The manual has different sections that explain about all the features of the much-awaited handheld. The Basics section acquaint the users about hardware parts, ways to use the touch and motion-sensing features of Vita while gaming, types of card media, connecting to Internet, customizing home screen, parental controls, and many others. Another section, PlayStation Network, lets the users understand how to create an account in order to access online features. Users can also learn to link their existing account, process system activation, etc., under this section.
The Games section of the user guide provides information on using the LiveArea screens, playing downloaded games or the ones on the Vita card, and importing a game from PS3 or PSP to Vita. Other sections highlight the features incorporated in the device. Party feature lets the users to use voice and text chats to connect to other Vita users. Users can join a group or create a new one. Users can shop online for games and videos through the PS Store application. The near option lets users to connect to players that reside in their neighborhood. Users can use the Photos features to take or view pictures. There is Remote Play application that lets users to access and manage their PS3 gaming console from a remote location. Group Messaging, Trophies, Browser, Music, Content Manager, etc., are some other features in the manual that users can learn about.
